Commutair Hiring – Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Aircraft maintenance technician inspects mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems and diagnoses malfunctions. Aircraft maintenance technicians also ensure compliance with aviation safety rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Airport Operations Department with charter flight deployment
  • Confirm all stations are compliant and current with all required manuals and revisions
  • Evaluation of course curriculum with code-share and regional partners
  • Ground Security Coordinator
  • Perform Regional Shared Audit Program (RSAP) Audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, and departmental practices and procedures
  • Support with the new station or transition start-ups
  • Quarterly review of all station training ensuring that it is delivered and documented within FAA guidelines, codeshare requirements, and company policies
  • APU/Tow train the trainer
  • Perform all other assignments as instructed by the Director of Airport Operations
  • Facilitate internal auditing with the use of iAuditor
  • Assist in Safety Department inquiries
  • Assist with the development, change, and implementation of new and existing training programs

Job Requirements:

  • Valid US passport (or foreign passport with documented work authorization in the US)
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, crawl, and kneel frequently in confined spaces
  • Good driving record and ability to drive tugs, trucks, and hangar equipment; taxi aircraft; alert to moving vehicles and aircraft
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and radio)
  • Positive attitude towards productivity, safety, and quality maintenance
  • Must have own set of tools
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license
  • Available to work shifts and overtime if necessary

Qualification & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
