The incumbent of this position primarily serves as a Program Specialist in the Forensic Division, Clinical Services Administration, Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). The incumbent is responsible for planning and reporting on original or ongoing analyses, evaluations, or investigations with varied features that require the ability to approach and resolve new problems, such as evaluating changes that could result from proposed legislative, regulatory, or judicial guidelines or from variations in demand for program services.
Conducts a variety of studies of administrative processes to improve the efficiency of operations and address complex administrative problems. Maintains the Forensic Division database. Collaborates with a variety of stakeholders to conduct studies and analyses, as well as assists in the development, organization, and implementation of functional short and long-range plans to ensure the effective operations of the Forensic Division. Prepares for meetings, assembles materials, and ensures that the supervisor is informed of significant developments and issues as they arise. Coordinates travel, conferences and itinerary development. Serves as a representative of the Director in discussions and working groups to present the Director’s position on administrative and program issues.
- Experience in providing high-level analytical assignments in support of the goals and objectives of a Forensic Services Division
Qualification & Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalence (GED)
- This position requires one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is experience which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled
