Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Asia Pacific Tax will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of Ingersoll Rand’s international tax strategy. The Sr. Manager will provide assistance with international tax compliance, tax planning, tax controversy as well as income tax accounting related to projects and income tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis. The position is based in Davidson, NC and will report to the Director, International Tax.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Asia Pacific implementation of Global, Regional and local tax planning strategies
  • Drive Asia Pacific quarter and annual close processes including preparation/review of quarterly and annual tax provision, annual RTPs, Cash Tax monitoring and reporting, FIN48, ensuring tax journal entries are accurately recorded, reviewing and supporting material permanent adjustments and deferred income tax balances, etc
  • Partner with the Asia Pacific businesses regarding the income tax impact of projects, business changes, expansion, etc., and be the line of communication to the regional businesses and functions for Asia Pacific related tax projects.
  • Assist in the implementation of complex tax projects including reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, post-acquisition tax integration and other key tax initiatives.
  • Assist in or lead tax audits in all Asia Pacific countries as well as supporting non-Asia Pacific country audits (eg, US) with respect to Asia Pacific items.
  • Ensure transfer pricing in the Asia Pacific region is tax effective and achieving the intended results through working with the global tax team on transfer pricing strategy and results, monitoring business changes, monitoring legislative changes, reviewing and adjusting pricing if necessary.

  • Project management skills to effectively utilize company personnel and assets.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both tax and non-tax professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply tax law to Company facts.
  • Strong Excel skills a plus
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills for multi-tasking.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA and/or MST preferred.
  • 7+ years corporate tax experience; 6 years International tax experience
  • Experience with One Source-OTP and/or CorpTax compliance is a strong plus.
